Welcoming 2019

And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, IT WAS SO MUCH. ~ 2 Chronicles 20:25. As we step into the new year 2019, God has asked us to be very courageous and not be afraid nor be in dismay by reason of situations and circumstances we may have faced or will face, as He " God " has taken over the battle of those who have handled their battles to Him, and those that will yet hand over their battles over to Him, He will gladly take it over, and hand the victory over to the individual, 2 Chronicles 20:15,  "... Be not afraid nor be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's." As we know the physical realm is influenced and controlled by the spiritual realm, so victories are w...

My True Identity

And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people. - 1 Samuel 9:2 Verse one of the chapter, describes Saul's father as  "... a mighty man of power"  meaning he is a person of influence. Poor people don't have influence, even their wisdom is despised,  Ecclesiastes 9:16 . Saul had servant, poor people don't, I mean they barely get by themselves, why would they need a servant?! What am I driving at?  From the above scripture the Bible outlines Saul's fixtures, but the question is, what personal image does he have of himself? It's important to understand the image we have of ourselves; positive or negative, and work on it. In  1 Samuel 9:21, And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the trib...

Overcome All

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - Psalm 34:19.  Living a godly life style will always attract afflictions and persecutions in this world, because Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4), the redeemed are not of this world (1John 4:4) , but of God and are ambassadors of Christ, here in this world. 2 Timothy 3:12 says, "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." Where? Here in this world. The godly will suffer rejection. But Jesus speaking in John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." The main text says, "... the Lord delivereth him out of all afflictions" when we remove "all" out of anything, what we have left is nothing. So when afflictions, persecution, tribulation etc., is taken out, it means...

The Father's Love

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. God loves everyone, that is the reason He gave Jesus, as the ransom for all. But, only those who acknowledge (receipt) His love, will be saved and are entitle to the blessing. It is amazing how people after accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; embark on keeping the commandments with the energy of the flesh, then turnaround and think they are more righteous than God. Like the rich young ruler "I have kept all thy commandment from my youth". 1 John 4:19 says, "We love him, because he first loved us." We have to settle it right now, in our heart that God is faithful, righteous and He love us. This truth cannot be change. I understand many doubt God's love when they are faced with outright test and trials. The Bible told us that we will have them (persecution), in this world for choosing to live ...

Word Led

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Hebrews 1:1-2 The word of God is very clear on the above subject, yet many still look for prophets that will tell them the next phase of their life. Yes, prophetic ministry still exist today, mostly they speak to confirm what God has already revealed or shown an individual, either through the word (Holy Bible) or through anointed teaching in meetings; not targeted at the person, but within the individual, there is a strong signal that certain words is being spoken to you, it quicken your spirit and its spark something within, like you need to respond or act to those certain words because they are pointers or indicator. So when a prophet speaks without fore knowledge of your previous encounter(s), it " maybe " a confirmation that you need to r...

Men For Thee

And the Lord said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life. - Exodus 4:19. It's impossible not to have enemies in this life, but God says inspite of your enemies you will rule and reign. That's why He prepares table for us in the presence of our enemies according to Psalm 23:5, meaning, "touch and you are gone too soon" . In areas where the enemies are too strong, He will clear them off our path to enable us reach our divine goals as in the above case. Also in Isaiah 43:4-5 he said, "Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. Fear not: for I am with thee:..." In our commitment to fulfill God's divine plan for our life, we become dangerous to any opposing force trying to stop us in anyway, spiritually or physically, as long as we remain within the given task. Deuteronomy 7:8 says, "...

You The Judge?

And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: - Exodus 16:2. Today it's not hard to hear people speak derogatory about men of God across the nations of the world including in churches. It's a very sad development, although it has been right from the days of old. We know that when you speak against a messenger, you speak against the one that sent him naturally. Saul (before he become, Apostle Paul) in Acts 9:1, he was breathing out threatening and slaughter against the disciples and the church, in v. 4, a voice said to him, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?". You notice he did not say, why are you persecuting my church, or my disciples? But, ME! Meaning, He took it personal. In Exodus 16:8 s ays, "And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against hi...

Exercise The Power Within.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,...  ~ Hebrews 1:1-2. Every believer have equal access to the God the Father, through the Son. However, He has appointed Pastor's to oversee His flocks as a guide for the growth, nurturing and perfecting of believers, till they grow to maturity. But, many acts like John the Baptist today. You may ask, why John? This is to enable us learn from his mistake, so we do not repeat the same. "And these things happened as examples for us,..." 1 Corinthians 10:6 NCV The Holy Bible record have it that the spirit of Elijah was upon John the Baptist. -The same Elijah, that slaughtered 450 Priests of baal, 1Kings 18:17-40. -The same Elijah, that called fire down from heaven and consumed 2 captain's of fifty and their fifty, making the total 102 men, before the third group humbled themselves before him, and were spared,...

Genuine Desire Brings Result

It's not the activities we engage in, but our genuine thirst brings the results we desire. From Luke 8:46-47, we saw a classic example of what genuine desire brings, "And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately." Note, everybody was touching him, including the place the woman touched, yet no virtue was received by them, but when the person with desire(thirst) touched him, virtue flowed. Our genuine desire and thirst, is what brings us the outstanding results we desire. Examine yourself today. #hedgersarmy, #prosperityreality, #gospel, #churchflow, #praise, #revival

Mighty In Battle

"... behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not; Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit. O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee." - 2 Chronicles 20:10-12. Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, represent problems and situations, each one bigger than one can handle. This maybe a situation one is confronted with at the moment, each one mightier than you. These forces stronger than you handle and they are determined to put a full stop on things pertaining to you or even your very life, as the case maybe. Don't just sit down and keep watching them advance towards you with their evil desire. More money may not be able to save you, without ...

Place of Priesthood.

Moreover he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might be encouraged in the law of the Lord. - 2 Chronicles 31:4. The priests are God's representatives on the earth, God's portion belongs to them, in forms of tithes and offering as we see in verse 5, "and as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first fruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly." These encourages the Priest to focus only on God assignment, to mediate and to know God's plan and purpose and also for enforcing same. What happens when the priests are discouraged? In Nehemiah 13:10 the scripture says, "And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them : for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field." So, when they...

The Needful Or Obvious Pt.2

Greetings brethren, continuation from last week... The need for us give heed and hear from Him, rather than been distracted by some obvious needs. If we are led by obvious and neglecting the needful, how will we answer when we stand before the Almighty God, Judge of the whole world? Looking at money influence this week; What about if you are money led in our decisions? That would mean, working shift after shift to make ends meet, this will give you less or inadequate time for the Word of God. It also would mean living a life without God's protection and guidance, as a result of this, you can fix one thing another broke down(Psalm 127:1-2). The question is how long will you continue this way, all your life? let's face it, is this the purpose for our creation? Working round the clock just to make end meet? I think desire more for than that. This is situations were one is overtaken by cares(obvious) of this world. What about situation with wealthy individuals having ...

The Needful or Obvious Pt.1

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. - Luke 10:41-42. Nobody just happened, we are created for specific purpose. Everybody cannot be head, or leg, or hand etc., each and everyone most identify their place and stay there, thus makeup the body system. The leg cannot say the hand is not performing its functions adequately, as a result, he will take its functions over. The leg would be led by the obvious and abuse its own purpose instead, why? He was not created to perform the function of the hand. When these things are properly understood, it will help us to gain speed towards the fulfillment of our purpose. Everyone will give account of his or her stewardship, when the time comes, what will be your report, when all that you have been doing is the obvious(somebody else's assignment), and ignoring yours or ...

Unfailing Words

At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. - Jeremiah 18:7-8. God sent Jonah to Nineveh saying, repent from your evil, else destruction is looming. The King quickly declare a fast and they were preserved, when they repented or responded to the message. But, what do you think the impenitent minds among them thought about the development when the 40days time frame came and passed, and nothing seemed to have happened? This is one of those fake prophet! Right?! Would they have been spared had they not fasted and repented sincerely? The answer is no! For fact this is one of the reason Jonah was unwilling to go deliver the message he was sent in the first place, he knew when the message is delivered and the people repented, God would spare them. If this happened, the peop...

Faith Or Fear?

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. Luke 17:6. It is easier to learn that which is bad than to teach that which is good, because Satan makes bad things appealing to the flesh. Fear is learned and taught, the same way Faith is taught and learned. They are both opposite one-another. Faith represents Kingdom of Light, fear is attributes for the kingdom of darkness. Faith gets God to intervene in our life situations and to deliver us the victory we so desire, Mark 11:24. Fear empowers the devil to steal, kill and destroy, John 10:10. Naturally, everyone is taught to fear from childhood, so it became an intrigual part of our lives. But, what about if children are brought up and thought Faith? It would become easier for people to understand the word of God, with zero tolerance towards fear. Children should be brought up and t...

Stay In The Blessing.

Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. - Psalm 112:1-3. The man or woman, that takes great delight in the commandments of the Lord is called blessed. Same way anything and anyone that goes against God's commandment is cursed "destiny for destruction". What are the things that goes against the commandment of God? They are numerous, but in a single word anything that is not done in "love" is against God's commandment and as such it incurs curses instead of blessing. Just to state an example, if you are in a company of person(s) that encourages stealing; it does not matter from where or whom. Even if the person is a very close colleague, close friend, relative or even circumstances. Do yourselves the favour and distance yourself from them. Stealing of any sort incurs curse, not just on the person that did it, though it opens or take away the defence of the person, it also exposes his...

Choose Light

He that believeth on him is not condemned: ...  - John 3:18 Our decision not to love and believe God and His Son Jesus Christ is not what put anyone into condemnation. Rather, everyone is already in condemnation through Adam's transgression. But by accepting Jesus as Lord; this becomes the decision that delivers anyone that accept him(Jesus), from the condemnation. "... but he that believeth not is condemned already,..." (verse 18). God gave Jesus as the light and access to Him, ''... men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.'' (verse 19) and their unwillingness to change indicates they choose the deeds of darkness, the work of their father the devil is manifested in them and that they will do. Unfortunately, man only have opportunity to change kingdom while on earth. Only two kingdom exist; 1. The Kingdom of God, which is light and accessible through Jesus Christ only. 2. The kingdom of darkness, this is of the...

Lifted Veil.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, - Luke 24:45 Today some persons refers to the Holy Bible as history book, this show the extreme ignorance of some towards the things of God. "the gospel is the power of God unto salvation" Romans 1:16. Also in 1 Corinthians 1:21, "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." Now, expect a man be born again, he cannot have access or understanding of the scriptures, why? There is spiritual veil cast over the unsaved soul. "But 'if' our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost" 2 Corinthians 4:3. This mystery is beyond the natural, no amount of educational prowess can access or change it, it can only take the blood of Jesus Christ to unveil it. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the li...

Where You Standing?

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. Romans 10:1-2  These are the words of Paul the Apostle. In Acts 7:54-60, when Stephen was killed, Paul (then Saul) was the young man's whose feet, those that stoned Stephen kept their clothes, he was a witness to Stephen murder. Then, Stephen prayed this prayer, "Lay not this sin to their charge." which gave the Holy Spirit authority to move into action, because someone will have to replace Stephen. So, Saul (Paul) was picked from those there. Why Paul? I don't claim to know the entire reason(s), one of many reasons is that he have a genuine zeal toward God, but was on the wrong side. Why didn't God picked one of those that actually stoned Stephen? They are children of belial! they are murderous! Their feet is too quick to shed blood! their conscience is seared! And they are judgeme...

What's Your Focus?

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. - Matthew 14:28 When God gives us a task, it requires supernatural strength to fulfill it. From the above scripture we saw Peter responding to a call. Jesus expected Peter to focus on the given task and not the circumstances nor the surrounding. We need to understand this, there are many voices in the world and they have their signification, they come in different form, mostly to distract us from our given task and purpose; some are very appealing and some very distractive. We must learn to heed and recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit, and follows his instructions, 1 Corinthians 14:10. Who we pay attention to matter, as it determines our focus, spiritually first and then physically second, 'if' we must achieve our purpose, or sink with it. What are you focusing on, Above or beneath? On God or politics and situations? Our choices determines our victory or defeat. May Go...

Constant Flow

... ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. - Philippians 4:16-17 I will use 1 Kings seventeenth chapter to illustrate the above scripture. From verse 8, God said to Elijah, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. Elijah probably had a thought, that maybe she is a wealthy person in that city. But, No! She was in a desperate situation with her son, that if nothing miraculous happens same day, it would probably be their end. So, God sent a prophet in need, as it were, to sustain a widow that is in need as well? This does not sound right the hearing of many or any, yet, God's ways is past finding out. Now, Elijah have to work in obedience to receive from the widow, and the widow have to work in faith and obedience to give from the very very little she has. Despirate situation ehm! What about "if" Elijah had refuse to receiv...

Fruitful giving

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. - Deuteronomy 8:3. Everything start and end with words. our words should be set to accomplish something at every point. Our givings, offering or gifts, it shouldn't be some sort of religious activity, but with cautiousness and sense of commitment that we are doing it as unto the Lord God and not unto man. Even though men will receive it from us here. I believe all our giving should be done as an act of obedience and more so, acknowledging Him as the ultimate source, that we are in a privileged position to be on the giving side, as an act of grace and not by our works. If need be we should take time to write the words to speak or proclaim to the offering carefully before offering it or them, Deuteronom...

Strengthen Yourself in Him

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. - 1 Samuel 30:6 Everyone in the camp was aggrieved for their lost. I don't think they were in greater distressed than David anyway. Prior to this David was anointed to be the next King of Israel. Then, not long after he killed Goliath, the women of Israel sang a song, that put him on the run, because King Saul wants him dead at all cost. As at this time King Saul was still after David; so he ran and took shelter in the camp of the enemy. Taking shelter in the camp of an enemy with family, relatives and friends with him, must have put him in a very compromising position. David must have been wary before now, because it seems the anointing upon him has further complicated his life, not knowing what could happen next moment. Now, his and his young men family and...

God’s Goodness

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - Proverbs 13:12 Waiting is the most difficult job to do on the planet earth. But when it time for manifestation, the joy is overwhelming, it's life and like a flowing stream that cannot be stop... Words fail to describe the feeling and its fulfillment. It's a new month, expect God's goodness. Because He is a good God. Happy New Month to you! You shall have reasons to celebrate this month, in Jesus name! Enahoro Airononi

Hold onto Your Crown

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.  - Revelation 3:11 I believe everyone have a unique assignment on earth, which we have a duty to discover. Our purpose is not hid from us, it is hidden for us. Once the purpose have been discovered, we have yet the responsibility to guard it from being lost, else we become unfit for His Kingdom. Purpose does not consist on things, however, discovering of purpose bring things(Matthew 6:33). We saw example in Judas Iscariot. Jesus Christ had more than twelve persons with him, but twelve were chosen as disciples. Judas didn't value his office/place, rather, materialism instead. See Acts 1:16-26. Matthias was chosen to take Judas's place and crown. He has being with them from the very beginning, but wasn't chosen initially, Acts 1:21-22, says, "Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Beginning from the bap...

Remember God Always

Persecution remains the greatest blessing to the church, because it brings about spiritual re-awakening. I saw this in Smith Wigglesworth book, Ever Increasing Faith. 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Sad but true to say, when believers have everything going for them, we tend to forget God who brings us the peace, abundance, joy etc., we all enjoy, until we are confronted with situations or challenges, then we run to Him. Amazingly, He is such a loving and merciful Father, that despite all our shortcoming, He still embrace us, "if" we run to Him. Just imagine if we acknowledge Him always, even in our abundant state, what it will be like? Deuteronomy 8:18, "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may es...

Goodnews

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;...  - Luke 4:18. God desire is for everyone to be saved, because with salvation comes the blessing. The blessing includes; health, deliverance, vision (sight) , freedom (liberty of spirit),  etc. This is goodnews! Gospel means "good news." It's to proclaims tidings of deliverance. Or glad tidings of good things. The poor man today thinks more money will get him out of his/her predicament. Well, more money and much more money will lead to a cursed life, without God and without the right mentality. Proverbs 23:7 says, " For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:..." The reason Jesus Christ came to preach the glad tidings, which is gospel to the poor, this is to first change man's mentality enabling him to see himself as God sees him, not as situations and circumstances have painted him to be. A man status will change when he begin to see himself th...

Commonwealth

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  - Ephesians 2:12 God covenant of blessing is to Abraham and his seed, known as the Jews or Israel as a nation, only. By default everything these covenant people do prosper, they are not just intelligent, they are super intelligent because it is a gift from God. From farming, to business, to technology, to science etc. in every chosen field of their endeavor the blessing of God upon their lives distinguished them. It's the blessing that the rest of the world is shutout from, and cannot have access to. But! Jesus Christ came and has remove the petition, that those who desire(the born again believers), now have access to the commonwealth; the same blessing that they have access to, " Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. " Galatians 4:28 , not only that, we now hav...

Confidence In Him.

The Lord isn’t slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act . 2 Peter 3:9 GW Far too many people pride themselves and build their confidence around their career and the wealth it brings. There is nothing wrong with that, in itself. But, without God, everything is wrong with it. Everyone enjoy the success it brings until, there arise some storms or troubles of life, in most cases, it is health related or life threatening issues. Then it's like the wealth and fame just evaporate before their very eyes. We don't need to look too far and long to notice some prominent names of yesterday, who are now shadows of themselves today. Many have sought for themselves other means of protection outside God, unfortunately it always ends in error and tragedy. Light will always rule over darkness anytime, anyday...

Rejected? Now Celebration

This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush. - Acts 7:35 No man chooses the family he is born into. Neither do we have the capacity to choose the state of origin, nationality, continent or race, we born into. Likewise in schools, we did not choose our teachers that taught us across various subjects. Moses was refused by them. Yet, he is the one God chose to lead them out of Egypt (captivity) into Canaan(the promise land). There are people God has placed in our path, we may not like them. But, if you want to go forward, they are the key. 1 Peter 2:4 says, "... disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious," We must put sentiments aside to align and embrace God's plan. In His plan for us, is our greatness. In every place you have been rejected and mocked, you shall be promoted and celebrated, in Jesus name! H...

It Takes Love

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren....   - 1 John 3:14 The genuine proof that proves the salvation of a man is 'love towards brethren' I mean sincere love, the God kind of love "Agape" . If there is no constant crave of how to bless or impact fellow brethren positively, it simply means you do not have the Spirit of Christ in you. The concluding part of 1 John 3:14 says, ".... He that loveth not his brother abideth in death." People use racism, religion, tribalism, etc., as a tool to attack innocent people, all for ulterior motives. We need to understand that there are demonic spirit involved in these acts. For someone to attack another because of personal beliefs, prove that such individual(s) have yielded to a demonic spirit that have possessed their body, to perform and carry-out their evil enterprise. People that are the arrow-head these acts most times are demonic agents, riding on the ignorance of ...

Changed Status

The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?  - John 6:41-42 They did not know when his status Change, reason being that their eyes where withholden. When we discover our God given plan and align with His perfect will and purpose for our life, our status will change automatically (1 Sam 10:6) , we become different personalities, manifesting from here and now. Didn't the Bible say in Romans 8:19 that, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." Manifestation means showing forth. John the Baptist was the first to know when Jesus manifested, John 1:29-33. Secondly, multitudes also saw it in Him, in the book of Luke 4:20 - 22. Unfortunately, people tend to look for the spectacular before they will believe (maybe someone com...

Abide In The Vine.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  - John 15:6 No man light a fire on a fresh wood and expect it to burn. Jesus is the vine (the tree of life), everyone redeemed; is a branch, in the vine and as long as one remain in the vine, he will have life. But, if it be broken off, the life stops flowing from its source, and it start dying immediately. When it is dried up, men gather them and use them for fire, and they burn up really fast and easy. Remain in the vine, for in Him is life. We must remain in the vine, if we do not want to end up dead, dry and in the fire. Jesus is Lord! Enahoro Airononi

Make Your Priority Right

For God so loved the world, that he gave ...  - John 3:16.  Giving is the highest expression of love. In the account of John 11:20; when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she ran to meet him, but Mary abode still, probably she didn't know. But, in vs 29, when Martha informed her(Mary), she rose quickly, and came to him 'Jesus'. Mary expressed her love in various ways one of them is through her SUBSTANCE (Alabaster Box, expensive perfume), not just with activities or eye service, she expressed it by giving. John 12:3 gave this account. Secondly, in Luke 10:41-42. Mary was more interested in seeking to know more of God, thereby giving her ATTENTION. Martha on the other hand (though a good and sincere person), but, was busy, busy, busy and carried away with activities. We must understand the timing of everything, so we don't have misplaced priorities. Remember in Ecclesiastes 5:1, the scripture says, "Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, a...

Turn At His Rebuke

Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. - Jonah 3:2 The reason God sent Jonah to Nineveh is to make them aware that their sinful ways is due for judgment. Jonah thought, "I think it's about time that city get the judgment, they deserve it; no need to caution them" But, God said, "No, you go and caution them, they may repent/turn" (God will not impose Himself on anyone, man have a will to be good or bad).
