The Word Is True.

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." - John 17:17

He Really Does Care for You

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you – 1 Peter 5:7 Do you know what it’s like to face a problem so big it seems downright irresponsible not to worry about it? There may not be a thing you can do about it, but you feel like you need to at least be concerned. After all, someone needs to! And no one else seems to be volunteering for the job. I remember one time in particular I felt exactly that way. I was holding a series of meetings in Ruston, Louisiana. I had just discovered our budget was $900 short—and in those days, $900 might as well have been $9 million! The devil was attacking my mind, telling me that no one cared about me or my ministry, telling me that I was facing this problem alone. But instead of giving in to those thoughts, I got my Bible and turned to every scripture in the Word of God that guaranteed me my needs were met. Then I rolled the care of those expenses over on God. I promised God that with the Holy Spirit as my helper, I wou...

Watch Your Language

In a multitude of words transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent. – Proverbs 10:19, The Amplified Bible We believers need to start watching our language! We need to quit throwing words around like they weren't important and start using them like our lives depended on it--because, according to the Word of God, they do! (Proverbs 18:21). Too many of us have what Proverbs 19:1 calls a perverted mouth. Having a perverted mouth means more than lying and using profanity. It means having a disobedient mouth. It means saying things that are out of line with the Word of God. All of us have done that at one time or another. We'll say, for instance, that we're believing God for our healing and then we'll turn right around to someone and make a statement like, "This pain is about to kill me!" That's perverted! It's backwards from what God's Word says. "Oh well, Brother Copeland, I know I said that, but it's not rea...

From Messes to Miracles

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. – Proverbs 18:7 We have what we say. As believers, we know that's a vital biblical truth. We can see it in Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21, James 3:2 and many other verses. Yet we often let it slip. We allow ourselves to begin talking like the world instead of talking the Word. And eventually we get what we've been asking for—a big mess. If that's happened to you, remember, whatever you have in your life is a product of what you've been saying. In order to change what you have, you must change what's coming out of your mouth. To head your life in a different direction—from death to life, sickness to health, failure to success—you must take charge of your words. That's a lot easier said than done. But that's the key: It must be said in order to be done! How do you start? First, realize that it can't be done just in the natural. This is a spiritual law, so it must be handled w...

An Easy Command to Obey (Landfill Pt.4)

If you want to know how God pulls people out of the landfill of poverty and promotes them to the boardroom of abundance, there it is, right there. He says to all of us what Jesus said to His disciples that day. “Bring what you have to Me.” Some people think that’s a hard command to obey, but it’s really not. Once you have a revelation of what Jesus wants to do for you, once you really believe that on the cross He became poorer than any person ever, that He bore the curse of poverty so that you could become as rich as He is, it’s easy to put what you have in His hands. Even if you don’t have a penny to your name, you’ll be so eager to give something to Jesus you’ll go outside somewhere, find a decent-looking rock, polish it up and bring it to Him. You’ll be like the Macedonians and make an offering out of yourself! Why? Because you know He’ll do the same thing for you that He did for His disciples when they handed Him those f...
