Strengthen Yourself in Him

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
- 1 Samuel 30:6

Everyone in the camp was aggrieved for their lost. I don't think they were in greater distressed than David anyway.
Prior to this David was anointed to be the next King of Israel. Then, not long after he killed Goliath, the women of Israel sang a song, that put him on the run, because King Saul wants him dead at all cost.
As at this time King Saul was still after David; so he ran and took shelter in the camp of the enemy.
Taking shelter in the camp of an enemy with family, relatives and friends with him, must have put him in a very compromising position.
David must have been wary before now, because it seems the anointing upon him has further complicated his life, not knowing what could happen next moment.
Now, his and his young men family and livelihood have been taken captive and their abode burnt with fire.
David wept with the young men to point they had to more strength to weep, then he came to himself and said within himself, weeping is not going to help or change anything. So he encouraged himself in the Lord his God (naturally, he was defeated).
"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."
2 Corinthians 12:10
But, victory came after enquiring from God; he pursued, he overtook and recovered all, 1 Samuel 30:8. Banking on the strength that can only come from Him. This is the deciding factor; many give up at this point. We must learn how to draw our strength from Him. Ephesians 6:10.

Strengthen yourself in Christ, for in him we have our victory, no matter how impossible, hopelessness or lost the situation seems. We will emerge victorious, when we put trust in Him!

May fresh grace be released unto you now and all through this week, in Jesus name!

Jesus is Lord!

Press In

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.... – Colossians 3:16 Things in this old world aren't getting any better, and in recent times, the Holy Spirit has been speaking an urgent message to my heart. He's been saying, Press in. Draw in to a more intimate relationship with your heavenly Father. If you don't, you won't make it. If you do, you will see more glorious outpourings of God than you can imagine. That message isn't just for me. It's also for you—and for every other believer on the earth today. We are in the last of the last days of this age. Jesus is coming soon. It's an exciting time, but it's also a dangerous time. Those who don't do what the Spirit says, who don't press in to the Lord, are going to go from disaster to disaster. But those who do will defeat the disasters and turn them into glory, in Jesus' Name! Your first step in drawing closer to God is to realize that you know God first in His Word. Time spent meditating i...
In the world(unsaved) system, we work harder…and harder…and still fall behind. If we do find a way to get ahead, we pay a high price for it by sacrificing time in God’s WORD, our family relationships or our health. While the figures in our bankbooks tell us we’re getting richer, in reality we’re becoming poorer. That’s the way the world’s economic system works. One way or another, there’s always sorrow with it because it’s under the curse.  As believers, however, we are no longer under that curse! Jesus has redeemed us from it. We don’t have to earn a living with our sweat and toil. THE BLESSING makes us rich. Unlike the world, we aren’t BLESSED because we’re rich, we are rich because we’re BLESSED!. SETTLED SOUL

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 The state of one's mind [ soul ] determines his/her place in destiny. In life people are forced to bow to pair pressure or any other kind of pressure when they don't have a stable mind, or let's say the person have identity issue.  When Satan tempted Christ Jesus on His way from the wilderness after forty days prayer and fasting, what was the first question he asked Him? "if thou be the Son of God" if Jesus had had identity issue, he would have fallen for temptation in the view to show off, as a result lost His place and purpose. Knowing fully well that God had said, "... Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." Lk. 3:22. Before embarking on the wilderness expenditure.  When you know who you are in the Word of God and are established in it; you wouldn't bow to the pressure of the world, because you see things differently....
