My True Identity

And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.
- 1 Samuel 9:2
Verse one of the chapter, describes Saul's father as "... a mighty man of power" meaning he is a person of influence. Poor people don't have influence, even their wisdom is despised, Ecclesiastes 9:16. Saul had servant, poor people don't, I mean they barely get by themselves, why would they need a servant?!

What am I driving at? From the above scripture the Bible outlines Saul's fixtures, but the question is, what personal image does he have of himself? It's important to understand the image we have of ourselves; positive or negative, and work on it.

In 1 Samuel 9:21,
And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me?
In other words "I am insignificant" you must have gotten the wrong person.

Here, we see a young man whom the Bible has just outlined his fixtures in 1 Samuel 9:2, and Prophet Samuel confirmed it to him in 1 Samuel 9:17-20. Yet he can't see these qualities in himself, why?

I know we must not allow pride into our life because it destroys, but there is a proper place. We must not look down on ourselves either, if we must fulfill destiny.

We live in a society that's is so insecure and is afraid of what you may become, so they will talk down on you, look down on you, say things derogatory about you, and if these get to penetrate into our mind, it get to the point you begin to see yourself as nobody.

We need to understand very importantly, that the spiritual realm is at play here, the society is greatly influenced by the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4). He the devil will work on an individual through the society, friends, family people close to you, to talk and look down on you, for months, years, decades, until you loose confidence on your personality, and begin to see yourself as a nobody or as the society have painted you to be; this way the devil can stop the move of God in or on the individual.

Jesus asked this question, "... Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?", Matthew 16:13. They gave different answers, but in verse 16 Simon Peter said,
... Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
what did Jesus say? This is revealed to you by my Father which is in heaven. This statement can be liken to,
this is revealed to you by the Holy Spirit through your spirit, or through the Word of God, which is the Holy Bible (they are both from the same source)' and I stand on this revelation
Do not take everything people say about you, rather stand on what God has said about you, because that's who you(we) are. He is your creator and He alone knows for what purpose He has created you. God will never talk down on you, under any circumstances, Never!!!

The Word says, you are Powerful, Rich, full of Wisdom, Strong, Honorable, Glorious and Blessed. Stand on these words, because these are who we are, in Him(Christ Jesus).
It is the Word of God that define us, not people!

Compliments if the season

Jesus is Lord!

SETTLED SOUL

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 The state of one's mind [ soul ] determines his/her place in destiny. In life people are forced to bow to pair pressure or any other kind of pressure when they don't have a stable mind, or let's say the person have identity issue.  When Satan tempted Christ Jesus on His way from the wilderness after forty days prayer and fasting, what was the first question he asked Him? "if thou be the Son of God" if Jesus had had identity issue, he would have fallen for temptation in the view to show off, as a result lost His place and purpose. Knowing fully well that God had said, "... Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." Lk. 3:22. Before embarking on the wilderness expenditure.  When you know who you are in the Word of God and are established in it; you wouldn't bow to the pressure of the world, because you see things differently....

BE RESOLUTE

For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 6:38 If you need to, you may; examine yourself and see, can the above statement be true of you or about you? Because in life you will face obstacles and challenges that will press and push you to extreme limit or out of measure to a breaking point [in despair of life, according to Apostle Paul]. These things happens in other to make you change course; but stand thou resolute.  Jesus said, persecutions will arise for the Word sake.  In Matthew 26:39, Jesus was praying "... O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." While on the cross, Jesus cried out, "... My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"  Well..., the Father didn't go anywhere, but the heat of the situation(s) make it look that way.  Enroute the promise land, there are a lot of obstacles; there is nothing easy about it. Sure the Devil makes it d...

Extremely Blessed!

A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth. – Proverbs 17:8 If I could give you a gift this Christmas, the Word is what I'd give you. I'd rather give it to you than a check for a million dollars. Because you can run through a million dollars real quick, but the truth of God's Word never quits—and it will get you out of situations a million dollars can't get you out of. Ken and I are just ordinary people. But when we latched on to God's Word, we latched on to something out of the ordinary, something that changed our lives. Every area of our lives. Nothing that's happened to us has happened because of us. It's happened because of God's Word. In fact, I don't even have to know you to promise you this: If you'll give God's Word your full attention—and not be afraid of His will for your life—you're going to be happier and more prosperous than anything you could ever dream up. O...
