And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. [30] But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.- Matthew 14:29-30.
Putting our eyes and ears on the Word of God is the only surety of overcoming life storms.
When Jesus asked Peter to come, as long as Peter's eyes were fixed on Him(the word), he walked over life troubles(water). But, as soon as he was distracted and turn to the overwhelming troubles of life(boisterous wind) he began to sink.
Do not take your eyes away from the word. Situations will put pressure on you, to draw you away from the word. If you adhere, you will sink. Mark 4:17 put it this way,
...persecution ariseth for the word's sake,...Why? I other for you to sink. Hold on to the word(Jesus), he's the only way of escape in this life.
Be blessed!
