"And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." - Matt. 3:9.
God will always use men to fulfill His divine agenda on the earth. But, where a particular person appointed for a given task, refuses to purge himself, God will then use somebody else.
In the kingdom of God nobody is indispensable, absolutely nobody!
Although, "... the gifts and calling of God are without repentance." - Rom. 11:29.
God said we should be perfect, because you can be perfect, if not, He wouldn't say "be perfect", if you as a person don't train/decipline yourself to fit for the task, you will definitely limit the flow of the anointing.
"... when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?" - Num. 22:27
Reading from Number 22:22-31, Here you see a prophet who was not sensitive enough to hear and follow the instructions in detail (you know you can hear and not really hear), because of his selfish interests. God had to speak to him through the ass. John referring to a situation like this, said; God is able to raise stone onto Abraham. He meant God is able to use persons that are not in is perfect will to perform His will; when those that are elected be grace failed to perform the given task.
There is the debate about female preachers; if God gave someone a task, who is over taken by worldly lust, God looks out for another, it does not matter with him if the available vessel is male of female. It's not about the gender, but the message. If the vessel is qualify for God to use, those that the message are meant for will hear it.
