On Whose Instruction?



In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
- Proverbs 3:6.

One of the greatest sin of man is trying to be like God independently of God. I don't think God have any problem with us wanting to be like him, He created us in His own image. But, there is a lot wrong when we are trying to be like God without God.
Remember, that is what led to the fall of man in the first place.
Genesis 3:5,
"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and YE SHALL BE AS gods, knowing good and evil."

The question is, who is telling you what to do? or whom are you obeying?
Romans 6:16 says, "... his servants ye are to whom ye obey;... "
It matters, on whose instructions we act upon. That is why, Proverbs 3:6 ask us to acknowledge God in all our ways, that way we are acting on His direction and guidance, which put us above the realm and kingdom of the devil.

"Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father];" Ephesians 5:1 AMP
Imitating God for whom He is to us(A Father), means a whole lot more than, wanting to be like God with pride at the root of our actions and decision, and independently without Him; this kind of step will get anybody on the wrong side of the fence(out of favour with God).

You shall enjoy supernatural favour this month.

BE WISE.

  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17 God, at different times and in so many ways have tried and still trying to let us know what His will for us is (He never gives up on us) . Same way the devil is endeavouring to distract us from God's purpose for our life through various medium. There is a saying, when purpose of a thing is not known, the abuse of the thing is certain. Using a toddler for an example. He/she have no clue what a remote control to a television is, if they found one. They can drop it a bowl of water if available, and still feels happy about it; simply because they have no idea what it is meant for. But as they grow up their perspective change. Same way, God want us to grow to understand our purpose and His plans for our lives. PROSPER

 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2. The mind consist of one's will, intellect and emotions; which is the soul of man. At salvation the spirit of man; which is also referred to as the heart gets quickened or made alive (But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible,... ) 1 Peter 3:4  The heart is saved, the soul is not. You [we] have a duty to save our soul; and it has to be done through studying the word and meditating upon the word, that's when the transformation of mind/soul begins. Romans 12:2  "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." As you spend more time in the Word of God; like a mirror you beginning to see your true identity from it. This is the reason we are admonished to study the Word of God.
