Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made....
Genesis 3:1.
I do not think anyone can walk up to you and ask you certain questions, except of course you are acquainted with yourselves.
I believe overtime, due to the subtil nature of the serpent, the woman became intrigued and was fascinated by the serpent subtilty (wisdom). Matthew 10:16 says,
"... be ye therefore wise as serpents,..." these are the words of Jesus, so He meant what He said.
So, the enemy came in through that avenue, "... and ye shall be as gods,..." in other words, 'you can be as wise as God', because Genesis 3:6 says,
"... when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired TO MAKE ONE WISE, she took of the fruit thereof,... ", she must have thought, maybe that is how the serpent got her wisdom; from the tree.
A lot of happened in that garden, that the Bible is silent about. But, the point I want to make is this; the alliance between the woman and the serpent.
She allowed a third party into their union (man and woman) and it resulted to 'the fall of humanity'.
The question is: who are you allowing or introducing into your union outside God? (this is not limited to man and his wife) it will break or mire that union, it will not make or add anything positive to it, it may look so at the beginning, but the end is destruction. It does not matter if they are parent, siblings, family member or even a friend. It will eventually put a big hole in that union.
Any house divided cannot stand. But when in unity, the blessing is activated, Psalm 133:3,
"... for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore." here? In 'UNITY' (vs.1).
This is the main reason Satan is against the unity of a family or the unity any kind of union. He can't stand the blessing working in a family, so he look out for ways to disrupt the continuity of the blessing, by introducing strive. Anywhere there is strife, there is confusion and all manner of evil work.
The subjects have the responsibility to resist the devil. God is not going to do it for you, (James 4:7). That is why, It's called 'temptation'. You have the ability to resist (pass the test) and enjoy the blessed life God has ordained for you to enjoy.
Looking forward to see you living triumphantly!
Do have a fruitful week, in Jesus name!
Jesus is Lord!
