These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
- Hebrews 11:13
This present life is a passage, we shouldn't be dismayed with the trials of life as people are faced with different kind of temptations.
Material possession isn't entirely the affirmation of our victory or defeat in the battles of life. Hence, the Word of God admonishes us not to compare ourselves with others 2 Corinthians 10:12. Because when we do, we become judgemental, the truth is that we have no idea of the areas of victories or defeats of either theirs or ours.
"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness,..." 1 Corinthians 4:5
So, as we pass through this life, we should understand that the battles of life varies; our victories in our areas of battle, will determine if we qualify for our next phase.
It will be your own undoing to ignore your battles, to engage in someone else's type of battle because you want a name for yourself, it may not go down well in the end.
Jesus is Lord!
