Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?
- Psalm 78:19-20
I actually think their complaining was beyond food, but the uncertainty of the future. They did trust God enough for the abundant life they want and have been promise them. The thought of moving from one place to another, with obstacles on their way, eating manna all their life becloud their reasoning, after they have failed the initial test, when 10 out the 12 persons sent to spy Canaan land brought back an evil report. Remember, there was no case that it has happened this way to any group of individuals before, except stories and promises. Also, the devil was working behind the scene, instigating them to doubt and rebel against God. So you may want to sympathize with them. Because we may have done more so.
In life, there maybe doubt as to how God intend to see you through the seemingly impossible situation one is faced with?! It is not our job to know how, it is our job to believe that God's will, and follow through His instructions. It call Faith! That is the only way out. believe it a done deal with Him, then you will have the answer; this my friend, is a WORK!!!
Once faith is involve, things will certainly turn out successful.
God honours faith, Hebrew 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please him:.."
The children of Israel had at this time seen some amazing miracles, signs and wonders on their journey till this point. Yet, they doubted.
I know, it may seem difficult with troubles on every side.
But, Apostle Paul puts it this way, in 2 Corinthians 1:8-9.
"For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia(life), that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:" they eventually came through, you too can!
All I can do, is to encourage you. But, you have to believe God to strengthen you by faith, through the trials. For surely trials will come in life. But, Psalm 91:15 says,
"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I WILL BE WITH HIM in TROUBLE; I WILL DELIVER HIM, and HONOUR HIM." so there are times we are faced with these things, that when we must trust that God is able to deliver us out from all of it and He will honour us as well.
The world awaits your manifestation, as stated in, Romans 8:19.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. God can do exceedingly, abundantly and above our expectations. Ephesians 3:20. Do not give up!
Have a blessed week!
