From the above scripture we saw Peter responding to a call. Jesus expected Peter to focus on the given task and not the circumstances nor the surrounding. We need to understand this, there are many voices in the world and they have their signification, they come in different form, mostly to distract us from our given task and purpose; some are very appealing and some very distractive. We must learn to heed and recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit, and follows his instructions, 1 Corinthians 14:10. Who we pay attention to matter, as it determines our focus, spiritually first and then physically second, 'if' we must achieve our purpose, or sink with it.
