PROSPER

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

3 John 1:2.

The mind consist of one's will, intellect and emotions; which is the soul of man.

At salvation the spirit of man; which is also referred to as the heart gets quickened or made alive (But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible,... ) 1 Peter 3:4

The heart is saved, the soul is not. You [we] have a duty to save our soul; and it has to be done through studying the word and meditating upon the word, that's when the transformation of mind/soul begins.

Romans 12:2

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

As you spend more time in the Word of God; like a mirror you beginning to see your true identity from it. This is the reason we are admonished to study the Word of God. Satan knows this, so he tries to keep you away from the Word, by preoccupying you with worldly activities.

James 1:21 says,

"Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your SOULS."

As you see from this text, the soul isn't saved yet even though you are born again (the Apostle James wasn't talking to unbelievers in this epistle, but believers). The engrafted Word of God is powerful enough to both save your soul and give you your place in destiny.

True prosperity, is a reflection of the state of our soul, as it affect every other segment of our life. That is why the mind is the battleground of man's life. That's why the enemy works constantly trying to fill your eyes, ears and environment with corrupt worldly ideas, and we have a duty to resist and guard ourselves against them.

Jesus is Lord!

Blood Washed

"But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ." Ephesians 2:13 We were afar off because of sin(s): Sin disconnected us from the presence of God. But through the blood of Jesus Christ we that were disconnected from the Father God, are now made nigh (brought closer) to the Father.  It is the blood of Jesus Christ alone that is capable of washing away our sins. Thereby, bringing us into the presence of God like sin never existed in our life. Be cautious of this truth and apply the blood of Jesus for your cleansing.  Jesus is Lord! Mark Enahoro

SETTLED SOUL

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 The state of one's mind [ soul ] determines his/her place in destiny. In life people are forced to bow to pair pressure or any other kind of pressure when they don't have a stable mind, or let's say the person have identity issue.  When Satan tempted Christ Jesus on His way from the wilderness after forty days prayer and fasting, what was the first question he asked Him? "if thou be the Son of God" if Jesus had had identity issue, he would have fallen for temptation in the view to show off, as a result lost His place and purpose. Knowing fully well that God had said, "... Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." Lk. 3:22. Before embarking on the wilderness expenditure.  When you know who you are in the Word of God and are established in it; you wouldn't bow to the pressure of the world, because you see things differently....

Victory Of Sin

Do you know that Jesus already paid the price for the sins of every person under heaven? Yes, He has! He die for the world, not just for some selected few, but the whole world, John 3:16. You might say, you mean to tell me He died for the worst gangster, murderer, prostitute as well, yes he did! He paid for their sins as well. Although it is free gift to all, but only those that accept this gift, gets to enjoy its benefits. You may ask again, how can one be close to God, when the urge to commit crime is always active in you? Jesus did not come to save the self  righteous, but sinners unto repentance. It's only when you're in Christ Jesus, listening to His Word, studying the Word of God, and in constant fellowship with Him, that the taste for sin will cool-off, its a gradual possess. Many think, you have to stop sinning first before you can come to Jesus, that will never happen. It's by coming to Jesus, that you receive the grace that empower you to live above sin, ...
