DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS

And David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever.

1 Samuel 28:2

Most times we focus on the promotion of men that we loose focus of God's original plan and purpose for our life [promotion that comes from God]. As a result settle for existence, instead of reigning and ruling in life.

In 1 Samuel 29:7 the scripture says,

"Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines."

In our quest to gain favour and promotion we compromise; God doesn't want that.

David wanted to help Achish to fight to prove his loyalty, what would've happened had he gone is another thing. Things could've turned either way; he was in a fix, so God stepped in.

David is ordained to be a king, not a chief of staff to someone else. But frustration and pressure could've made him loose focus, thereby bend the knees. As a result a glorious destiny would've been eroded.

This is a clear picture and behind the scene events of life. At every junction we are faced with a choice; either to allow God have His way, or force our way to create our own path.

Steps taken without God endangers our destiny.

Jesus is Lord!

Press In

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.... – Colossians 3:16 Things in this old world aren't getting any better, and in recent times, the Holy Spirit has been speaking an urgent message to my heart. He's been saying, Press in. Draw in to a more intimate relationship with your heavenly Father. If you don't, you won't make it. If you do, you will see more glorious outpourings of God than you can imagine. That message isn't just for me. It's also for you—and for every other believer on the earth today. We are in the last of the last days of this age. Jesus is coming soon. It's an exciting time, but it's also a dangerous time. Those who don't do what the Spirit says, who don't press in to the Lord, are going to go from disaster to disaster. But those who do will defeat the disasters and turn them into glory, in Jesus' Name! Your first step in drawing closer to God is to realize that you know God first in His Word. Time spent meditating i...

Choose To Forgive

"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors... For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:" Matt. 6:12;14. The Scripture admonish us to forgive not just debts, offenses, etc. In Isa. 43:25 God had to forgave us for His own sake, meaning each time we have unforgiveness in our heart, it limit the flow of the anointing which is the power of God at work in us. Many think they are perfect, but non is perfect and sinless before God, except by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, which is by grace. 1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." it does not matter the personality, not even Peter, James and John could claim righteousness without Jesus Christ and the blood. So we don't have examples to pattern after except Jesus Christ, He is the RIGHTEOUS (1John 2:1). We must be mindful, man will always want to make himself the pattern for others to follow after, like ...
