And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. 18. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.Malachi 3:15,18.
I have heard complaints from different quarters, people agonizing their stay at home, as they have run out of provision.
But let's reflect on our life how we have being living our lives. On many occasion we have heard of cases where people were murdered in cold blood, they were probably the breadwinner in their family; how did you react to such cases? or missionaries that held captive by their captures, some murdered? Did these tragic and hideous acts pricked you? Did you take a moment to pray for these individuals?
These are souls, being wasted, murdered in cold blood. These people had purpose in life, their destinies cut short, in circumstances that could have been prevented and avoided, but due to lack of adequate security, negligence, greed of man, hatred toward others.
These blood cries for vengeance everyday, not to talk of the countless numbers of abortion, and actions of people as though there is no God.
These things happen around us daily, yet no empathy, we go about our daily routine like nothing happened. The evildoers and wicked fist on destinies daily, they continue to have field day in their atrocities. There is a saying, "evil thrive when good people refuse to act."
Reflect on these, search yourself, I'm not condemning anyone, but we can change things from now onward.
Our attitude and actions have held God back to rescue us, because men have failed to acknowledge Him, and call on Him, Who has spared us on many occasion, all we do is complain upon complaints.
I am not calling for a prayer meeting. There are things you know personally that you ought to have been doing, yet have ignored it, and kept procrastinating; get to it, start today. Everyone have specific task they ought to be doing, but have hitherto left it unattended for filthy lucre sake. It is time to return. Else, many will be held accountable for the things of God they have ignored in pursuit of their own self centered glory rooted in pride.
May God have mercy. Because even in this pandemic, things have not really changed. If care is taken, this may prolong, many think once the vaccine is out it will all be over, really?! Except the Lord build a house, it is in vain to build one.
