No Time For Clay Pots

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
– 2 Timothy 2:20

Are you destined for greatness in the kingdom of God?

Ask most believers that question and they'll humbly assure you they're not. "You know we can't all be golden vessels" they'll say. "Like the Bible says, some of us are just called to be little clay pots."

Praise God, the Bible doesn't say any such thing!

Certainly there are going to be some golden vessels in the kingdom and there are going to be some clay pots, but we are the ones—not God—who determine which kind we will be.
Second Timothy 2:21 tells us that "whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work" (The Amplified Bible).

Golden vessel or clay pot—the choice is up to you!

Why then do so many believers choose to do menial work in the kingdom of God? Why are they content to remain clay pots?

Because they lack one thing every golden vessel must have. They lack dedication. They haven't made a quality decision to separate themselves from contaminating influences. They haven't been willing to turn away from the ways of the world and go on with God past the
point of no return.

My friend, God is doing some exciting things on this earth right now. He's working signs and wonders, paving the way for Jesus' return. This is a thrilling time, but it's definitely no time for clay pots! So if you haven't yet made the kind of commitment that will turn you into a
golden vessel, admit it. Then take the time to get before God and study His Word and get your will in line with His. Let the Holy Spirit deal with you until you're willing to leave the ways of the world behind and walk in higher ways—the ways of God.

Do it now. The hour is late. The glory of God is spilling over the earth in one final thrilling wave. It's not trickling out of clay pots. It's being poured through golden vessels—and that's exactly what God is calling you to be.

SETTLED SOUL

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 The state of one's mind [ soul ] determines his/her place in destiny. In life people are forced to bow to pair pressure or any other kind of pressure when they don't have a stable mind, or let's say the person have identity issue.  When Satan tempted Christ Jesus on His way from the wilderness after forty days prayer and fasting, what was the first question he asked Him? "if thou be the Son of God" if Jesus had had identity issue, he would have fallen for temptation in the view to show off, as a result lost His place and purpose. Knowing fully well that God had said, "... Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." Lk. 3:22. Before embarking on the wilderness expenditure.  When you know who you are in the Word of God and are established in it; you wouldn't bow to the pressure of the world, because you see things differently....

SPIRITUAL KNOWING

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. Acts 13:45 In life you will face some vicious attacks from people, their reasons may seem reasonable to many [natural minds]; but their real intent, concealed. From the above text, observe the real reason the Jews were contradicting what the Apostles had said. When they saw the multitudes, they became envious. But they wouldn't come out to show their real intent; but will work up something else as the main reason.  This is why as a Christian, you can't allow yourself to be limited by the things you see, hear or feel, because they can be deceptive. The Holy Spirit is the revealer of truth, let Him guide you into all truth.  "For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy." Mark 15:10 Go beyond the physical, and sense realm. Go spiritual [there's a spiritual knowing].  Jesus is Lord!  Mark Enah...

BE RESOLUTE

For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 6:38 If you need to, you may; examine yourself and see, can the above statement be true of you or about you? Because in life you will face obstacles and challenges that will press and push you to extreme limit or out of measure to a breaking point [in despair of life, according to Apostle Paul]. These things happens in other to make you change course; but stand thou resolute.  Jesus said, persecutions will arise for the Word sake.  In Matthew 26:39, Jesus was praying "... O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." While on the cross, Jesus cried out, "... My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"  Well..., the Father didn't go anywhere, but the heat of the situation(s) make it look that way.  Enroute the promise land, there are a lot of obstacles; there is nothing easy about it. Sure the Devil makes it d...
