Every discouraging word, every curse word, every unloving word that comes out of someone’s mouth affects his or her body in a negative way. The Bible says, “Where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” Strife is darkness, and darkness throws our whole system—spirit, soul and body—into confusion.
