For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
1 Corinthians 1:17.
We are to preach and teach the gospel, not just with fair speeches of man's wisdom. But by the help of the Holy Spirit, lest the message become void of power.
This is happening in many places today, people exact more energy on their eloquence, reasoning, intellectual prowess etc., all these have their place. But without the Spirit of God at work in you, and giving you utterance, it is all just motivational speaking, with no lasting solution and impact in the life of anyone, 1 Corinthians 2:6.
The Word of God contains the power that breaks yokes, and it lifts heavy burden from the destiny of men, so that children of God can manifest here on earth.
Verse 18 says,
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish(unsaved) foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."
But God reveal His power to us by His Spirit, 1 Corinthians 2:10. "For the kingdom of God is not in Word, but in power." 1 Corinthians 4:20.
