If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. ~ 1 John 5:16.
Many think because we are living under grace today, they can do whatever they like that goes against God's commands and get by with it!
There are sins you can ask forgiveness for.
There are some sins that will cut short one's days on the earth, however the spirit might be saved.
And there are sins that cancel out one's salvation.
In Ezekiel 2:7 the scripture says,
"And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious."
God will not override any body's will to straighten them out, He will however, caution the individual. But we are the ones to make the decision, to heed or to ignore the rebuke. It's absolutely our choice!
One example of unpardonable sin is found in Mark 3:29,
"But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:" see also Luke 12:10.
Another example is found in Hebrews 6:4-6 saying,
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." in other words it is impossible for such individuals. The list goes on...
Living under grace or unmeritted favour does not give us the leisure to keep dragging the Holy name under mud and expect everything to be alright. Grace makes provisions for errors not intentional acts. This is why all will be judged. We can fool fellow humans, that our acts were not deliberate, but not God. God knows our thoughts and the intents of our heart afar off.
"Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed." 1 Samuel 2:3
On all, we have the commandment to work in love towards others. We live in a world where everything appears normal. In most case we are prompt to say 'after all everybody is doing it!' That everybody is doing it, does not make it right, we have a responsibility to find out God's stance about every subject, through His word [Holy Bible], or through the prompting of our conscience, then we can act or react base on the truth and revealed Word of God, not base on people's opinions. Men opinion can get you into trouble with the Almighty God!
1 Corinthians 10:12 says,
"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." this is applicable to everybody.
God's word should be our final authority on every subject. Stay blessed!
Jesus is Lord!
